Iceland is gearing up for the "puffin season," as the country's population of the seabird returns. Iceland is home to one of the world's largest colonies of puffins with over half of the world's population of Atlantic Puffin coming to the country each year to breed. Bird watchers and nature lovers flock to the Westmann Islands to see the nesting grounds, usually by boat. Visitors might also spot whales in the waters surrounding the Westmann Islands.
