    Sigur Rós

    The Icelandic post-rock band formed in 1994, but it wasn't until 2000 when the band achieved worldwide success with their second album, ágætis byrjun. The band recently announced the dates for their upcoming North American tour. Find more ticket information here.

    Kaleo

    Taste of Iceland Reykjavik Calling alumni, the four-piece band Kaleo is bringing its "gorgeous blend of folk, blues, country, and rock to a wider mainstream audience in America." Kaleo signed with Atlantic Records and now lives in Austin, Texas, and will begin recording new material with producer Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Jake Bugg) in London for an EP due this year.     Mammút​

    From earning a nomination for “Best Band” at the Icelandic Music Awards in 2008 to winning three awards at the same event several years later, this five-piece ensemble has consistently been recognized as a stand-out band over the course of their career. Their music is internationally acclaimed and derives influences from indiepop, post punk and psychedelic alternative sounds.

    Fufanu

    Reykjavik, Iceland’s Fufano imbues alternative rock with electronic components. Their three albums (Sports, Bad Rockets and Liability) offer listeners brooding basslines with an Interpol-style post-punk sound.
