    Sigur Rós

    The Icelandic post-rock band formed in 1994, but it wasn't until 2000 when the band achieved worldwide success with their second album, ágætis byrjun. The band recently announced the dates for their upcoming North American tour. Find more ticket information here.

    Kaleo

    Taste of Iceland Reykjavik Calling alumni, the four-piece band Kaleo is bringing its "gorgeous blend of folk, blues, country, and rock to a wider mainstream audience in America." Kaleo signed with Atlantic Records and now lives in Austin, Texas, and will begin recording new material with producer Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Jake Bugg) in London for an EP due this year.     Jóhann Jóhannsson

    Jóhann Jóhannsson is an Icelandic composer who has been identified with minimalist, drone, and electronic music. Jóhann is known for his film music, primarily for his Oscar-nominated, Golden Globe-winning score for James Marsh's The Theory of Everything and his Oscar-nominated score for Denis Villeneuve's Sicario.

    Low Roar 

    Low Roar singer, Ryan Karazija, combines elements of post rock with minimalist tones to create haunting melodies detailing his experience living in Iceland. Reminiscent of bands like Radiohead, Low Roar listeners are immersed in orchestral and electronic sounds, as Karazija details his unsettled journeys alongside optimistic perspectives.

    Mammút​

Their music is internationally acclaimed and derives influences from indiepop, post punk and psychedelic alternative sounds.

    ​amiina is a six-piece band that combines minimalistic style, contemporary classical, ambient, and electronic sounds. Originally a string quartet formed by four girls, the band has since expanded to include two male members.
