Icelandic Menu at the The Townsman
Icelandic chef Georg Arnar Halldórsson, who is currently joining some of the best Icelandic chefs in opening up two new restaurants: Sumac and Óx, will fly to Boston to collaborate with American chef Matt Jennings to create a delicious Icelandic dinner menu at Townsman. Winner of multiple culinary awards, including two silver medals and a bronze medal from the 2016 Culinary Olympics, as well as a bronze medal from the Nordic Chef Team Challenge, chef Georg brings his expertise and love of traditional Icelandic cuisine stateside with a delicious prix fixé menu for the event. Georg will join Boston’s own chef Matt Jennings in the Townsman kitchen, where Matt has served as head chef since 2015 and has been the recipient of multiple nominations and awards.
No meal is complete without a tasty cocktail alongside it! Teitur Ridderman Schiöth, one of Iceland’s premier bartenders, will make the flight from Iceland to partner with Townsman bartender, Jon Ross, to concoct unique cocktails featuring Iceland’s favorite vodka, Reyka Vodka, and aquavit, Brennivin, to pair perfectly with your dinner.
