1. ELIGIBILITY: THE ICELAND SUMMER 2010 SWEEPSTAKES (“SWEEPSTAKES) IS OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (EXLUDING RESIDENTS OF PUERTO RICO, GUAM AND U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS). ALL CONTEST ENRANTS MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO ENTER AND TO BE ELIGIBLE TO WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Not open to employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, and the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of Sponsors, their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion agencies and promotion partners. 2. HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE REQUIRED TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
Between July 1, 2010 at 12:01 am (Pacific Time) and October 31, 2010 at 11:59 pm (Pacific Time) (“Entry Period”) you can enter this Sweepstakes via the Internet at www.icelandnaturally.com/icelandicglacial. Completely fill out information requested on the online Entry Form (“Entry Form”) and then transmit the Entry Form by clicking the “Submit” button. Information requested on Entry Form consists of your name, address (including zip code), date of birth, and email address. To be eligible, all Internet entries must be received by 11:59 pm (Pacific Time) on October 31, 2010.
There is a limit of one (1) entry per person and per email address for the entire Entry Period. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. In the event of a dispute as to an entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the entrant. Entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), forged, postage-due, illegible, mutilated, incomplete, misdirected, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules will be disqualified.
3. SELECTION OF WINNER: Potential winners will be selected by Sponsors in one (1) random drawing held on or about November 1, 2010 from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Potential winner will be notified on or about November 2, 2010 by phone, mail, and/or e-mail (“Prize Notification”). If the potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable time period or if he/she is found to be ineligible, or if he/she cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules, an alternate winner may be selected.
4. PRIZE: One (1) GRAND PRIZE Winner will receive a five (5) day / four (4) night trip to Reykjavik, Iceland (the “Trip”), consisting of the following elements: a) One (1) pair (2) of roundtrip Economy Class coach airfare tickets and connections from a major U.S. departure city to Reykjavik's International Airport (KEF); b) Five (5) days / four (4) nights hotel accommodation in Reykjavik based on double occupancy for two (2) people with daily Scandinavian breakfast except on arrival date; c) One (1) $200 tour voucher from Iceland Travel; and d) Roundtrip bus transportation from Reykjavik airport to hotel in Reykjavik. Total approximate retail value of the prize is US $3,500, and actual value may vary. Trip must commence within one year from the date of the Prize Notification. Travel not permitted between May 15th and September 5th and December 15th to January 5th. Travel is subject to air seat(s) and hotel availability. All prize details are at Sponsors' sole discretion. The prize is awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsors. Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes). All other expenses including but not limited to meals, additional accommodations, travel insurance, incidental expenses, tips, transfers, taxes and any other expenses, costs or fees associated with acceptance and/or use of the prize not specified herein as being awarded are the responsibility of the prize winner. Winner is responsible for obtaining and paying for visas, shots, passports or other documents if required. No cash or prize substitution is allowed except at the discretion of Sponsors. A designated Icelandair contact will be responsible for booking travel arrangements and selection of vendors. Winner must book with Icelandair Holidays at least 30 days prior to departure. If winner is unable to travel in accordance with Icelandair's specifications, the prize will be forfeited. If a prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the control of the Sponsors, a substitute prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Prize is not transferable.
5. CONDITIONS: By entering, participants agree to be bound by these complete Official Rules. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Sponsors and their officers, directors, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies are not responsible for, (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, stolen, postage due or illegible entries; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or usage of the prize; or (iii) printing, distribution or production errors. Return of prize or Prize Notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Except where prohibited, acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the Sponsors and their agencies to use the winner's name, address (city and state) and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation or authorization, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, including without limitation Internet. Except where prohibited, winner must complete, sign, have notarized and return an Affidavit of Eligibility & Liability / Publicity Release before claiming prize. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of the winner, and an alternate winner will be selected. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Sweepstakes, including by computer hacking, will be ineligible for the prize and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as originally planned, such as tampering or infection by computer virus, Sponsors at their sole discretion reserves the right to modify or cancel the Sweepstakes. Void where prohibited.
6. RELEASE: By receipt of any prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsors, their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliated and related companies, successors and assigns, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each such companies' shareholders, officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claims, demands, losses, promises, cause of action and liabilities, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of the preparation for, or participation in, the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.
7. DISCLAIMERS: The Released parties are not liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from acceptance/possession and/or misuse of prize(s), participation in Sweepstakes, or any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, computer Internet system, computer dating mechanism, computer equipment, software, or any combination thereof, or any entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), tampered with, garbled, incomplete, misdirected, lost, postage-due, forged, illegible, mutilated, mechanically duplicated, mass machine printed, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS: Except where prohibited by law, Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsors' reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion. Sponsors reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsors' failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
9. DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, you agree that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, U.S.A.; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) under no circumstances will you be permitted to obtain awards for, and you hereby waive all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or your rights and obligations or those of Sponsors in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflicts of law.
