A Taste Of Iceland In Boston

Boston is one of the main American gateways for travelers flying to Iceland via Icelandair, but, this month, Iceland is coming to Boston! From March 1 — 4 Chef Hákon Már Örvarsson will collaborate at Eastern Standard Kitchen & Drinks for an Iceland inspired menu. The Paradise Rock Club will host the free "Reykjavik Calling" music event featuring Mugison and Eli "Paperboy" Reed, among others, on March 3. Icelandair offers Bostonians free ice-skating and rentals on March 3, and you can catch the Icelandic films Inni, featuring Sigur Ros, and Summerland for free on March 4, all in Kendall Square. Icelandic Film Festival At Lincoln Center
The Film Society of Lincoln Center and the Icelandic Film Centre have joined forces to bring Images from the Edge: Classic and Contemporary Icelandic Cinema to the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center from April 18 — 26. Tickets go on sale April 1. Click here for more information.
Icelandic Horse Festival
The good-natured, stout, and genetically distinct Icelandic horse will be the subject of celebration March 29 — April 1 in and around Reykjavik at the 2012 Icelandic Horse Festival.
