Teitur Ridderman Schiöth
Teitur Ridderman Schiöth is one of Iceland’s premier bartenders. After starting his career at bars in Iceland, Teitur completed his training at the European Bartending School in Thailand. Teitur went on to spend a year working in Dusseldorf, Germany, where he assisted several bars with expanding their operations and cocktail programs before returning to Iceland.
Since his return, Teitur has made a sizable impact in the Icelandic service industry. In his role as head bartender at Slippbarinn, the first proper cocktail bar in Reykjavík, Teitur helped design two new cocktail menus, and also won the national Brennivín cocktail competition with Svartafell, a winning combination of Brennivin, raspberry, and rhubarb bitters.
After Slippbarinn, Teitur went on to become bar manager at Pablo Discobar, a ridiculously unique vision of one of the most ridiculously unique bartenders in Iceland. Since being made the bar manager of Pablo Discobar, he has ensured that every experience in the lively gathering place is one to be remembered.
