Iceland’s Thriving Design and Architectural Scene at the BSA Space
This year at Taste of Iceland in Boston, the Iceland Design Center presents: Iceland’s Thriving Design and Architectural Scene. Join Halla Helgadóttir, Managing Director of the Iceland Design Centre, at the BSA Space for a discussion on Icelandic design and architecture. This free event will look at how the designer-driven community behind The Iceland Design Center has enabled Icelandic design and architecture to emerge on the scene and take its place in the world. In Iceland, the Iceland Design Center brings together designers of all backgrounds so that architects, fashion and textile designers, goldsmiths, ceramic artists and more can work together. As a result, the unified design community in Iceland has a stronger voice, is widely respected, and is able to positively impact society. Designers have a unique, important set of skills that every industry can benefit from. During the free luncheon event at BSA Space, Halla will discuss the importance of this unified voice, and how others can work together more efficiently to influence how we view and address sustainability, the environment.
