Learn how Iceland inspires creative minds with this session from Taste of Iceland!
As part of Taste of Iceland in Boston 2016, Iceland transplant Eliza Reid lead a discussion about Iceland’s robust storytelling culture and how the country inspires creative minds from all over the world. As a cofounder of the Iceland Writers Retreat, Eliza leads the event every year, inviting writers of all kinds to experience Iceland and get their creative juices flowing.
Iceland’s literary history goes back to the Nordic sagas of the 12th century, and storytelling has played an important role in country’s culture ever since. In fact, there are more statues of authors than politicians in Iceland!
