A Taste of Iceland Lands in Washington, D.C.
After taking D.C. by storm in 2010 and 2011, the annual cultural
celebration ‘A Taste of Iceland’ returns again in 2012! From April 12 –
15, Washingtonians will enjoy a variety of public events, including
culinary promotions, free live musical performances, and a free film
festival. Chef Thrainn Freyr will collaborate with Sous Chef Sarah
Biglan at RIS Restaurant for an Iceland inspired menu. At no charge,
catch the indie-folk musical acts Of Monsters and Men and Lay Low at The
Fillmore Silver Spring on April 14, and see the Icelandic films: Inni
, featuring Sigur Ros, and Summerland
