Since forming around 2000 years ago, Nemes (pronounced knee•miss) has made their mark on the Boston and larger New England music scene by playing everywhere from subway stations to revered rock venues. Led by duel-frontmen Dave Anthony and Josh Knowles, the band showcases a true metamorphosis of sound, featuring warm, layered harmonies and one-of-a-kind violin shredding Vanyaland describes as "fiddle-action glory."  These components are delicately layered across captivating original songs to form what Under the Gun Review calls "some of the most engaging music we've heard,"  garnering shout-outs from national and international acts such as Alt-J and Nirvana.

Throughout 2015, Nemes independently traveled North America performing to promote their debut studio full-length album, "I Carry Your Heart," opening for the likes of Guster and X Ambassadors along the way. The LP was mixed by Rick Kwan (Jim James, My Morning Jacket) and funded by a combination of busking, gigging, and crowd-funding. The 11 tracks contained are an exploration of four minds working to create a energetic-but-resonant, cathartic listening experience.
